Balkan Roots brought Macedonian maestro, Stefce Stojkovski, to Vancouver for a celebration of Macedonian folk music. Stefce worked with various local bands to animate their repertoire, and then he performed with them at this fabulous concert. Held at the WISE Hall, the bands included Grupa Dunbarov, Djeram Tamburitza Band, David Bilides supporting Stefce Stojkovski, Stari Zvuci, and Zlatna Mountain. The evening was full of kaval, tapan, tamboura, accordion, singing, dancing, and of course zurla!
