Opa Tsupa 2016

The Opa Tsupa Balkan Romani Musical Evening was a tearful goodbye for Orkestar Slivovica. We had decided to end the band and Opa Tsupa was truly going out with a bang! We celebrated with a most excellent musical lineup, including our long-standing musical collaborator Lache Cercel and his Roma Swing Ensemble. We also brought two of our favorite Seattle bands, Dromeno and EuroDanceParty U$A. The sold-out show took place at the newly renovated Russian Hall and was a beautiful ending of a band, but certainly not the ending of this production company. Again, another successful collaboration between Caravan World Rhythms, Transformations Projects, and Slivovica Productions. Oliver and Kristina and Orkestar Slivovica were honoured to receive an Award of Excellence in fostering Balkan community amongst the Serbian community of Metro Vancouver.
