In May 2015, we hosted another Balkan Brass festival in Vancouver, BC. Headlined by Demiran Cerimovic (Vranje, Serbia) and featuring 3 Seattle bands – Orkestar Zirkonium, the Bucharest Drinking Team, and m9. Also featuring Vancouver’s brass band Orkestar Slivovica, who performed alongside Demiran Cerimovic as well as with bellydancer Aviva Finkelstein, flamenco artist Michelle Harding, and body percussionist/tap dancer Dayna Szyndrowski. Guests were treated to Balkan dance performances by Gradina Balkan Folklore Dancers, Vuk Karadjic Folklore Ensemble (Veterani), and Skud Zavicaj dancers. This successful event was co-produced with Transformation Projects and Caravan World Rhythms.
